For a cable theres not much more you could ask for, great picture quality and sound. Not the strongest rubber coating but its a cable not a rope so theres nothing you have to worry about in terms of lifespan.
Easy to install and works well on my flatscreen monitor. Finding speakers with a stereo input was a bit annoying so I ended up getting a headset that works with Xbox 360.
Heck when my PC's running with two button presses I'm off searchin' the web for help, and with two button pressed I'm back to the game. Now while some people are piping the audio through their PC's with the inclued RCA-to-3.5 adaptor, others hook up to a set of powered speakers. So, don't have a spare TV to hook an Xbox 360 but you do have a spare monitor. Then this is thing for you. As for me, a basic headphone amp, headphones and a Samsung T220 22-inch LCD Monitor is how I've set my 360.
I really liked this cable a lot since I could play on my monitor now and not have to wait for my mom or dad to finish watching tv. :D
This way the Xbox does all the work, and the picture looks better because of it (to me at least). Also, something it doesn't show is that this does have the optical plug as well, so if you're looking to output to a receiver using an optical connection you're totally able to do it with this cable. With the component cables actually a few dollars more than this cable here on Amazon, you'd be crazy not to go this route if your TV has an open VGA port.Highly recommended. Picture is crisp and clean, and this is the only cable I can hook up to my Xbox 360 that will actually let me set it for the exact resolution of my TV. Oh well, at least I'll have an extra one of those around just in case.Like I said, this works and looks great. My TV runs 1366x768 and using the VGA cable the Xbox 360 will let me set the resolution to 1360x768, which at least means my TV isn't doing as much scaling as it would with a regular 720p or 1080i signal. Like I said, it comes with a 3.5mm adapter and a gender changer in the package. Wish I would have known that before buying an extra 3.5mm male to stereo red/white splitter for my TV. Well, almost the exact resolution of my TV.
